Monthly Missions

The Monthly Mission forms are now downloadable here at our Parent's Perch.  Please look at our detailed description and definition of the mission that you and can review prior to discussing with your child. 

Each Monthly Mission is due by the 28
th and can be turned in by taking a picture of the form or a picture of your answers on another piece of paper and submitting it one of two ways below:

Belt Testing—DATE TBD


Belt Testing will be held via Zoom in small groups. If you plan to receive your 3rd Tip this month, or already have 3 tips on your belt - you can Belt Test.

Option if you have 2 Tips: If you only have 2 tips on your belt, the 3rd tip can be earned by attending a 30 minute private lesson.  A full paid private lesson (30 mins) is required in order to spend the time necessary to teach the mandatory curriculum that was missed.  Please send us an email if you are interested.

To register online, you will need to input the email and phone number we have on file for you, what your rank style is: Tigers, 7 yrs, Teens, or Adults; and what your current rank is - this is the color of the belt you have now. If you are having a problem registering, please send us an email at pallensfrontdesk@gmail.com.

IMPORTANT:

We will ONLY be accepting payments via web, payments are due by the 17th. We have attached the link for Belt Testing Payments below please fill out completely.
Belt Testing will be held on Zoom, links will be sent out a day before.
We will NOT be accepting payments on the day of Belt Testing.
Qualification codes are NOT needed for this testing.
Remember - STUDENTS MUST BE IN FULL UNIFORM, GI TOP & BOTTOM in order to TEST.
Belts and certificates will be available for pickup at the dojo during a "curb side" on Saturday starting at 12 pm AFTER you or your child has completed the Belt Testing, if you are uncomfortable coming by, it will be delivered to your home.

Challenges

Our instructors have created a fun way for students to stay fit and focused during the pandemic. These challenges contain fitness activities that encourage students to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. These challenges are NOT required but encouraged.  Students who complete these challenges receive a special tip to place on the other side of their belt.
Please post the video of you or your child doing weekly challenges on our private facebook page: Pallen’s Martial Arts Family Fitness and Friends! If posting it on our facebook group is not possible, please email the challenge proof to pallensfrontdesk@gmail.com!   The belt TIP will be mailed to you.


Horse Stance Challenge
  1. Tigers: Hold it for 30 seconds/1 minute
  2. Big Tigers: Hold it for 45 seconds/1 minute
  3. Freshman: Hold it for 1 minute/2 minutes
  4. Soph: 2 min 30 sec
  5. Junior: 3 minutes 
  6. Senior: 3 min 30 sec
  7. JBB: 5 min

Back Knuckle Challenge
  1. Tigers: Back Knuckles for 30 seconds 
  2. Big Tigers: 45 seconds
  3. Freshman: Back Knuckles for 1 minutes
 
Lateral Hops Challenge
  1. Tigers: Hops for 2 minutes
  2. Big Tigers: 2 minutes 30 seconds
  3. Freshman: Hops for 3 minutes
  4. Soph: 3 min 30 secs
  5. Junior: 4 minutes
  6. Senior: 5 min 
  7. JBB: 6 min

Push Up Planks Challenge
  1. Tigers: Hold for 2 minutes
  2. Big Tigers: Hold for 2 minutes 30 seconds
  3. Freshman: Hold for 3 minutes
  4. Soph: 3 min 30 sec
  5. Junior: 4 minutes
  6. Senior: 4 min 30 sec
  7. JBB: 5 min

Sit Ups Challenge with Favorite Toy
  1. Tigers: 20 Sit Ups
  2. Big Tigers: 30 sit ups 
  3. Freshman: 40 Sit Ups
  4. Soph: 45 Sit Ups
  5. Junior: 50 Sit ups 
  6. Senior: 75 Sit Ups
  7. JBB: 100 sit ups

Wipe On/Wipe Off Challenge
  1. Tigers & Freshman: Wipe down at least 3 surfaces with the Wipe On/Wipe Off method!
  2. Big Tigers: Wipe down at least 5 surfaces with the Wipe On/Wipe off method

Lateral Broom Hop Challenge
  1. Tigers: 1 Minute of Broom Hops
  2. Freshman: 2 Minutes of Broom Hops

​Vacuum Lunges
  1. Tigers: 2 Rooms Vacuumed
  2. Freshman: 2 Rooms Vacuumed

Side to Side Ground Touches
  1. Tigers: 1 Minute
  2. Freshman: 1 Minute

Elevated Hops
  1. Tigers: 1 Minute
  2. Freshman: 1 Minute

Push Up Planks
  1. Tigers: 2 Minutes
  2. Freshman: 3 Minutes

Concentration Punch Drill
  1. Tigers: 1 Minute with a pillow/weight on their arms
  2. Freshman: 1 Minute with a pillow/weight on their arms
